For a family that travels as much as ours, having a place to come back to matters. That place is Farmily, our farm, our pied-à-terre.

A Farm We’re Building Slowly
Farmily isn’t a finished project. We’re developing it little by little, at our own pace. A farm grows the way a family does: patiently, with plenty of trial and error, and with a lot of learning along the way.
There’s no rush. Every season teaches us something new, and every improvement is one more step toward the place we imagine.

Our Animals
Because we travel often, we’ve chosen to limit the number of animals for now. Animals need daily care, and we don’t want to take on more than we can look after properly.
We do have a few cows, enough to have fresh milk at home. We also have rabbits and a farmyard with poultry. There’s something special about knowing exactly where your milk and eggs come from, and about the children seeing that daily cycle up close.

More Than a Farm
Farmily is not only our home base. We also open its doors to families and travelers who want to share a little of our life. They work the land with us, sleep under canvas, gather around the campfire, cook Malagasy street snacks, and plant trees. And because we do it in a festive way, all our visitors become our friends.

We’ll tell you about each of these moments in the coming articles.
Why Farmily Matters to Us
After weeks on the road, with new places, new faces and new discoveries, coming back to the farm lets us slow down. It grounds us, and it gives our travels a place to begin and end.

Next up: what our vegetable garden is telling us about climate change.
